The most successful authors build a loyal audience of readers by combining savvy marketing techniques with targeted, practical content. The Berrett-Koehler Book Marketing Workshop is an intense two-day experience designed to help new and experienced authors develop these vital promotional skills.

Targeted toward business authors as well as personal and human development authors, the BK Book Marketing Workshop offers participants practical, how-to advice on building your own reader base and more importantly, how to use this "fan base" to boost book sales.

Social Marketing and Social Learning: Powerful Ways to Extend Your Reach

A major issue for increasing book sales is how authors can capitalize on the many learning experiences that occur constantly through social media platforms. That is, how can authors use collaborative learning to help customers and clients learn what they need to know, when they need to know it, and in a way that works most effectively for their learning style and the advancement of the author’s businesses.

In this interactive session, you will learn about some of the most effective ways that social media can be used to educate others, support knowledge sharing, and leverage the power of informal learning to help you market your books, your message, and your services.

The BK Marketing Workshop features keynotes, workshops, panels of publishing and marketing experts, networking events, and co-consulting for practical individualized planning. Topics include: Optimizing Social Networking for Marketing and Sales, Navigating the New World of Book Publishing, Developing Your Best Marketing Strategy, Report of Best BK Book Marketing Campaigns, Perspectives on Author and Book Websites; Authors Selling to the Government, Practical Advice from Publicists and Speakers Bureaus, and more.
